3. Pants
Pants created specifically for motorcycles fall into three categories: leather, textile, and Kevlar-layered jeans. Motorcycle-specific pants protect from abrasions or cuts, in the event of an accident or fall.
4. Gloves
When choosing gloves for riding your motorcycle, there are three varieties: sport, rain-resistant, and cold-weather. Sport gloves usually include leather coverings with metal knuckle protectors. Rain-resistant gloves keep out moisture, and cold-weather gloves are heavily-insulated and also come in a heated version.
5. Boots
The last element to consider is a pair of boots. Footgear should combine protection from the weather as well as overall comfort. Look for these three features when selecting a pair of motorcycle boots: oil-resistant soles, molded ankle protection, and torsional stiffness.
