About Joe's Auto Sales

Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and a belief that good people deserve reliable transportation, Joe Krier started Joe's Auto Sales in 1992 on the Westside of Indianapolis. Before opening his used car dealership, Joe had been in the industry for more than 15 years, owning a car rental company, working in sales and management, and as a wholesaler buying from several new car dealerships. Joe Krier passed away in 2006, but his vision for the company and his commitment to customers lives on. He worked hard to grow the business from a small used car dealership to a successful multi-location buy-here-pay-here operation. Today there are two Joe'slocations in Greater Indianapolis to serve you, Joe's Auto Sales and Joe's Auto Sales West.

“Joe Krier” Quality Dealer of the Year

Joe was a well-respected dealer in Indiana, serving as a member of the National Auto Dealers Association and the Chairman of the Board and past President for the Indiana Independent Auto Dealers Association (IIADA). The IIADA’s Indiana Quality Dealer of the Year award is named after Joe Krier. Every year, the IIADA awards the “Joe Krier” Quality Dealer of the Year award to one of the state’s deserving car dealers who demonstrates the standards for excellence in the industry.

A loving husband and father, Joe Krier was known for his compassionate, generous and fun-loving spirit. He and his wife, Barbara (Barb) Krier, were lifelong volunteers. Joe was a weekly server at the Cathedral Soup Kitchen, a Little League Coach and a member of Angel Flight, a national organization of pilots who use their private planes to transport sick children to hospitals for medical treatment. Joe and Barb regularly volunteered for church and community events and served as pre-nuptial counselors at St. Pius X on the Northside of Indianapolis. His passion for excellence and commitment to enhance the lives of those around him continues to resonate through the staff members at Joe's Auto Sales.
